BBQ Salmon

This BBQ salmon recipe is quick, flavourful, and perfect for summer gatherings or weeknight dinners. The smoky grill enhances the salmon’s natural flavour, while the marinade adds a delicious tangy glaze.



Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets (skin-on, about 150g each)

  • 3 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup

  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • Salt and pepper, to taste


Method:

  1. Prepare the Marinade:In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, honey, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and pepper.

  2. Marinate the Salmon:Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or resealable bag. Pour the marinade over the fillets, ensuring they are well-coated. Let them marinate in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes.

  3. Preheat the Grill:Heat your BBQ grill to medium-high. Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.

  4. Grill the Salmon:Place the salmon skin-side down on the grill. Cook for 5-6 minutes, then carefully flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork. Brush with additional marinade during grilling for extra flavour.

  5. Serve:Remove the salmon from the grill and serve immediately with lemon wedges, fresh herbs, or a sprinkle of chopped parsley.
